Royal Holloway is a stunning College of the University of London set in 135 acres of beautiful grounds on the edge of Windsor Great Park. It is situated west of London, just outside the M25, and within easy reach of Heathrow and central London. (The Royal Holloway website contains maps and information about travelling there by road and public transport) .
We intend to exploit the notable architecture of the campus as a backdrop to performance sessions and readings and well as using its green and wooded ambience to create a relaxed environment for reflection and discussion.
Most of the conference sessions will run in the well-equipped Arts Faculty Building and meals will be taken in the nearby Founder’s Building. The Conference Dinner on the Friday evening will be held in the Picture Gallery with its renowned collection of Victorian paintings. Delegate accommodation has been reserved in the recently completed Gowar and Wedderburn Halls of Residence, where rooms are all en-suite.
Royal Holloway is close to many visitor attractions, notably Windsor Castle and Hampton Court. A full list of places to visit can be found here.
If you would like to find out more about the venue you can look at the Royal Holloway pages about its conference facilities or the English Subject Centre esc@rhul.ac.uk will try to answer any specific questions you might have.
