The Higher Education Academy has a specific section devoted to the enhancement of HE in FE across all subjects. It produces a monthly newsletter which can be accessed from here, and has links to other relevant web pages and publications.

Student perceptions of assessment & feedback in FE contexts
The Academy’s Teaching and Learning Group in 2007 commissioned a DVD of student interviews on their perception of assessment and feedback on the range of HE courses delivered in further education colleges.  An abridged version of the film is available by following the link above.

British Journal of Higher Education in Further Education
..is a new on-line journal which has not yet published any issues, but which promises to meet the needs of those working in the HE in FE sector. It will be free to users, and is aimed at researchers, policy-makers and practitioners.

Journal of Further and Higher Education
..is an international, peer-reviewed journal (Taylor and Francis) which publishes articles and book reviews representing the whole field of post-16 education and training.

Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) (2006) This reports on the findings of 105 reviews of higher education delivered in further education colleges with a view to identifying and disseminating good practice as well as assisting institutions in the development of provision.  Subject areas covered by the report include art, design, communications, media, film and television studies.

Department for Education and Skills (DfES) (2006) This White Paper outlines plans for reform in further education colleges in England.  Chapter 2 outlines the role of further education colleges in the provision of higher education.

Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) (2006) During Summer 2006 the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education undertook a data collection exercise to explore the extent of higher education provision within further education colleges in England.
